DIY tote bag makeover

Do you have a leather bag that needs fixing?
My mom challenged me with this project.
This was her tote bag that she loved, but the edges became tattered over prolonged use.
I used paper and thread to repair the bag. It looks as good as new!

DIY Paper bag hat

 I made this newsboy hat for Jaxon out of a paper bag for "Crazy Hat Day". I always wanted to understand the construction of a hat, so this was a great experiment for me. I guess I could've sewn this out of fabric, but it just didn't sound as fun as making it out of paper! Here's how I made this.

Mini Curio Cabinet Makeover

We bought this mini curio cabinet before my first daughter was born, which was like 8 years ago.
I never really loved it, but it happened to be the right size and budget ($50) at the time we purchased it.
I currently use this to store my vintage collection of mugs. I finally got around to painting and refinishing it this weekend. Here's the before and after photos....
